Ozone and Oxidative Therapies

Ozone and other oxidative therapies aim to increase oxygen capacity in the body through the introduction of ozone or hydrogen peroxide. Ozone treatments could be used in a wide variety of disorders because the targets are so similar in all chronic disease. As we get older and less healthy our bodies become maladapted, this causes a cycle of low energy and often pain as well as a host of other health concerns. This is due to poor oxygen utilization. This cycle is extremely difficult to break without outside intervention and can be extremely frustrating as normal avenues of treatment may not be effective.

Ozone therapies may improve overall health by:

  1. Modulating the immune system

  2. Destroying pathogens such as bacteria, yeast/ fungi, parasites and viruses

  3. Improving oxygen utilization in the mitochondria which improves energy and metabolism

  4. Reducing pain especially locally

There are several avenues by which we can use ozone therapy but we never use the technique called direct IV as it can be dangerous. Most commonly ozone is mixed with fluid before either infusing or injecting the ozone. Ozone can also be stabilized in oil for topical or suppository applications and in certain cases can also be used as ozone gas to treat digestive concerns.

Ozone and Oxidative therapies are not provided alone. Dr. Coombs will build a safe and effective individualized treatment protocol using a variety of treatment modalities alongside ozone and oxidative therapies, in order to enhance the health and functioning of each cell in your body.

Dr. Coombs has been trained by the leading Ozone physician, Dr. Shallenberger and utilizes many of his techniques and treatments.
